Saint-Nectaire exists since the Middle Ages when it was used by peasants to pay their taxes. Ever since it was introduced to King Louis XIV’s court in the 17th century, its reputation has been well established. Similarly to the terroir in which it is matured, Saint-Nectaire smells humide and mushroomy, while offering a nutty and fruity flavour with herbal notes.
